Privacy Policy

Last updated · 3 June 2026

At Trivasa, we are a small, founder-run business, and we treat your personal information the way we would want ours treated; carefully, honestly, and without ever selling it to anyone. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit www.trivasa.co.in or order from us, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have over it.

This policy is written in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) of India. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Who we are

Trivasa is a home décor brand operated by Trivasa, with its principal place of business at Shop No. 1, Ground Floor, Sharma Complex Kasidih, PO- Sakchi, Jamshedpur- 831001, India. For the purposes of the DPDP Act, we are the “Data Fiduciary” responsible for your personal data.

For any privacy-related questions, you can reach our team at trivasa.thf@gmail.com or WhatsApp +91 7488965556.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we genuinely need to run our business and serve you well. This includes:

a) Information you give us directly

  • Your name, billing and shipping address, email address, and phone number when you place an order or create an account.
  • Order details - the items you buy, gift notes, and any special instructions you share.
  • Messages and content you send us over email, WhatsApp, Instagram, or our contact forms.
  • Information you share when you sign up for our waitlist, newsletter, or any promotion.

b) Payment information

When you pay for an order, your payment is processed by our third-party payment gateway partner Razorpay. Your full card or banking details are entered on their secure systems. Trivasa does not see, collect, or store your complete card number, CVV, or banking passwords on our own servers. We may receive limited confirmation details such as the transaction status and a masked reference.

c) Information collected automatically

  • Basic technical data such as your device type, browser, IP address, and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar tools to help the website work and improve.
  • Aggregate analytics about how visitors use our site, which never identifies you personally.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect only for clear, limited purposes:

  • To process, pack, ship, and deliver your orders.
  • To send you order confirmations, tracking links, and delivery updates.
  • To respond to your questions, requests, and support messages.
  • To process replacements, store credit, or any matter under our Replacements & Store Credit Policy.
  • To send you marketing updates, new launches, and offers - but only if you have chosen to receive them, and you can opt out anytime.
  • To improve our website, products, and the overall experience of shopping with us.
  • To prevent fraud, keep our website secure, and meet our legal and tax obligations.

We will never use your information for a purpose that is unrelated to the ones above without asking you first.

4. Your consent

When you place an order, create an account, or sign up for our updates, you consent to us collecting and using your information as described in this policy. For marketing communication, we rely on your explicit opt-in. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us or using the unsubscribe link in our emails; though please note that some information is necessary for us to fulfil an order you have already placed.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone, ever. We share it only with the trusted partners who help us run Trivasa, and only to the extent they need it:

  • Courier and logistics partners (such as our shipping providers) - to deliver your order. They receive your name, address, and phone number.
  • Payment gateway partner - to process your payment securely.
  • Technology service providers - such as our website platform, email and analytics tools, who process limited data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities - if we are required by law, a court order, or a government request to disclose information.

All our partners are expected to keep your information secure and to use it only for the purpose we share it for.

6. Cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies - small text files stored on your device, to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is being used so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as smoothly if you do.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it, to fulfil your orders, support you, and meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or anonymise it. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so wherever we are not required by law to retain it (for example, invoice records we must keep for tax purposes).

8. How we protect your information

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to keep your information safe, including secure connections (SSL), restricted access to personal data within our small team, and trusted, PCI-DSS-compliant payment processing. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, and while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, where we are not legally required to keep it.
